This was a cute collection of comics about random， everyday life。 The comics were very relatable。 I even showed some to my fiance as I read that reminded me of things we had done/ talked about。 I liked the art style and the comics that involved her dogs。I had never heard of this artist before， but will for sure be on the lookout for more of their work！Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for an eARC in exchange for an honest review。

Why Are You Like This？ is a collection of comic strips which follows the lives of married couple Meg and Carson and their two adorable furbabies Boedy and Luna。 While the collection doesn't have a direct storyline it is a charming insight into their everyday lives and their often idiosyncratic relationship。It's often said that things are funny because they are true and that is definitely the case with WAYLT。 I found myself absolutely chuckling with laughter at so many of the relatable panels and Why Are You Like This？ is a collection of comic strips which follows the lives of married couple Meg and Carson and their two adorable furbabies Boedy and Luna。 While the collection doesn't have a direct storyline it is a charming insight into their everyday lives and their often idiosyncratic relationship。It's often said that things are funny because they are true and that is definitely the case with WAYLT。 I found myself absolutely chuckling with laughter at so many of the relatable panels and now have a mountain of screenshots which I will end up plaguing my husband with。 There are too many this is us/me moments to send them all in one go！ On top of that the artwork is so cute and so realistic。 Meg isn’t portraying your perfect blemish free protagonist and instead gives us a gorgeous girl who is comfortable enough to leave all her lumps， bump and whatever else hang out while making the ugliest faces she can pull。 Also can we just have a moment to squeal at how cute those dogs are！！Dr Seuss once said "We are all a little weird and life's a little weird， and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours， we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love" and I think that beautiful little quote sums up the essence of this gorgeous comic collection perfectly！Why Are You Like This is published today by Andrews McMeel Publishing and I would urge you to pick it up if you want a fun little self-deprecating giggle。 。。。more

An absolutely delightful book。 For those who know of Adam’s comics， this is a lovely collection of comics in physical form， something many fans of online comics can love and look forward to owning。 For those new to her， Why Are You Like This？ is still an enjoyable collection filled with relatable humor that is both clever and funny without being dark or degrading。 While some subjects could easily fall into both categories， Adam’s lighthearted perspective is one the modern world needs。

I received an ARC of Why Are You Like This？ from NetGalley for my honest opinion。Meg's life and her interactions with her husband， her dogs， nature， and holidays made for a fun and quick read。 The illustrations and colors were vivid and enticing。 I could not look away from the Meg and her husband's character when they were in their "normal" mode and was entranced when there face structures would change， specifically the growing of the eyes and the nose going limp。 It was fun to see Meg and her c I received an ARC of Why Are You Like This？ from NetGalley for my honest opinion。Meg's life and her interactions with her husband， her dogs， nature， and holidays made for a fun and quick read。 The illustrations and colors were vivid and enticing。 I could not look away from the Meg and her husband's character when they were in their "normal" mode and was entranced when there face structures would change， specifically the growing of the eyes and the nose going limp。 It was fun to see Meg and her cast of characters dramatic changes in facial features and demeanor when "provoked。"I can in so many ways relate to Meg's battle with wanting spooky season all year round， except for that short period of time between November 1st and December 31st when Christmas needs to be up。 That battle and wish/desire is relatable on a personal level！I do wish that Meg's comics concerning her mental health were interspersed more throughout the book instead of seeming like an afterthought at the end of the book。 I did not like how it was funny and relatable for 80%+ of the books and then plop！ Lets end with the hard stuff。 Still enjoyable， just would have hoped for mental health commentary and images intermingled more evenly throughout the book。 。。。more
